There is nothing even remotely humorous about that poor fellow's demise!I think you don't understand why a sense of humor evolved as a factor in human survival. Very often humor is pleasure in foreseeing a disaster that can be averted by recognizing the situation for what it is, e.g. don't climb a utility pole carrying energized high-tension transmission lines. I can, however, see how living in MA could dull the sense of humor of even the most stalwart Texan.
