Bette Midler is a racist.
She did a couple of OK covers of old big band songs, and could probably be the solo performer at a high school choir recital, but her career has been a classic example of people getting recording contracts and movie parts because of connections, rather than anything inherent in her appearance or ability.
Midler is the face of racism in America.
Bette Midler says this because the only time ‘stars’ show up for ANYTHNG is when their PR flack has collected a bundle of money to put on their dressers...
(The exception to this is Jon Stewart who really is a hero and bravely took on a non-PC cause - for years (and NOT for a photo op). Stewart’s only ‘payment’ was the awareness that he did the right thing when it was needed. God Bless him...)

To be fair, the right says it all the time, referring to the Democrat Plantation. Only difference is that there is ample evidence that the Plantation is real.

You know it really bothers me when one of these liberals think they can tell me how to think.
My experience has really started in college. As an incoming freshmen, I was assigned this white liberal student assistant to help me get settled into school. I was discussing with him my intentions to have 2 majors, political science and business administration. He seemed surprised that I would be undertaking such an endeavor. One of my first objectives was getting all my necessary textbooks so I could get a good look at them before classes started. He looked a little surprised at me, and said, “You read-em books?” This kind of startled me and I said “Yes, I read books,” I was quite annoyed. I’ll never forget that.
