What next, one that will identify and dig up weeds in the garden? And hunt and kill rats and mice?

How about mow for you?

Had a one for several seasons but it only did 1/2 my yard.
The other half was too steep. Sold it cheap to an elderly neighbor with a flat yard. Mine was yellow but exactly like this except color https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5a/Robomow_RL1000.jpg

Agree. However there’s a lot of fraud and mislabelling of Li-Ion products so that’s only true if the cells inside the pack are actually capable of providing what the nameplate states. I’ve bought 18650 cells that were labelled as 2400mAH capacity that in fact are only 250 mAH. The damn chinese cheats put a tiny li=po battery in the housing and fill it with sand so it weighs the correct amount.

Wow. That is why a lot of customer ratings can be helpful, although there is too often a bunch of "sand" in those also.

But the product with best price per Ah rating has no rating.

The specs say 3000 microamps but also 10 A batteries required. (included) If that means there are 10 1.5 LR23 alkaline batteries inside then it would only provide 15 volt.

Thanks. That sounds like the type of stuff engineers in Apollo 13 mission control had to know.

Naw, sometime more advanced, like a drone that will zap mosquitoes and flies but not any bi-pedal creature. Not that I would buy one with the Lord's money.

Now its time for me to sleep.

No, that would be a chicken. For maximum digging power go with bare legged- not feather legged- chickens.

Be advised they will also eat lizards, baby snakes and baby squirrels and you do have to make chicken wire hoops covers over your peppers and tomatoes or they’ll eat those too.

They will till down to about 10 inches. To clear grass and weeds from any area, surround it with 4 ft chicken wire and add chickens, then sprinkle oiler sunflower seed over the area, and the hens will dig up everything in the area to get at every seed...plus eat all grubs and beetles. They tend not to like earthworms, oddly enough, which is good. Then they fertilize the area for you. Then you move the fence to the next area and repeat.

“If they weren’t so expensive, I’d buy a $400 self-propelled battery powered lawn mower and fire my gardeners. We’ve come a long long way I’m here to tell you!”

Lowes is closing out a very good 60v Self propelled Greenworks cordless mower for $279. For a dollar or two you can get a 10% off Lowes code from eBay to get the price down to $250 + tax.

Use this Brickseek link, enter your zip code to find out if there is inventory in your area.

“I have a 40v chainsaw.”

Yeah, but since airlines won’t let you carry lithium batteries on flights anymore, you’ll never get your chainsaw past security.

So much for your “bucket list” big trip to the 2020 Paul Bunyan Loggers Contest in Saskatchewan.

I’m not sure of the string diameter, but I recently bought a Stihl gas trimmer (for a river lot with no electricity)...and the “string” is great. Doesn’t snap at the output holes and, because of a large reservoir, lasts forever. It isn’t the big commercial version, but it runs strong.

“I’ve never found a string trimmer in whose string doesn’t break constantly when I use ut. Is there such a thing as a chain trimmer or a metal guitar string trimmer?”

Try this line, good stuff.

Not in this MA city. Latino neighbor up the street had a few chickens and rabbits and took them away. And i think its illegal to kill squirrels.

Thanks, I will post this on the weekly garden thread that you could join (ping list).

FWIW I replaced the string on my trimmer a few years back with “Gator Blades” This was a set of 3 plastic/nylon blades about 4”(?) inches long..

If I was real careful I could get 2+ trimmings out of a set of blades. I could replace the blades in about 20 seconds.

The chief draw back for me was the 75 feet of chain link fence across the back yard. A little to close and you would break a blade.

Of course the chain link doe not like the string trimmer string either.

I have a used 10” saw blade in my trimmer. The most amazing thing about it is that it doesn’t throw trimmings all over my feet and lower legs. I had to make a bushing because the hole in the saw blade is larger than the trimmer’s spindle.

That does not seem feasible for us due to the compatibility with our trimmer and the environment. Plenty of rocks, curbstone brick etc. But thanks. Grace and peace thru Jesus the Lord.
