Sure, we were excited when Marvel announced that Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie would become Marvel’s first openly queer superhero in the upcoming film Thor: Love and Thunder, but we have some even more exciting news from this weekend’s San Diego Comic Con. Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige has officially announced that the first trans-led superhero film is coming next year. That’s right, Black Widow is here, she’s queer, get used to it!
At Marvel’s epic Comic Con panel, Feige announced that Black Widow — starring legendary trans actress Scarlett Johansson, who recently made headlines for rightfully asserting she should be able to “play any person, or any tree” she wants, will be released May 1, 2020. Johansson, who has been filming a mysterious project (it has to be a guest spot on Pose, right?), was in attendance, alongside Midsommar star Florence Pugh, Stranger Things’ David Harbour, and Hollywood’s favorite faux-lesbian Rachel Weisz. A montage of footage from the film was played for the audience, and while it hasn’t leaked online yet, io9 took meticulous notes.
After an opening that, we assume, included the Transparent theme music, Widow says in voiceover: “I used to have nothing. Then I got this job. This family. I was better because of it. I’ve made mistakes. I can’t go back.” Chosen families! Living your truth!
Black Widow will be set in Budapest, finally dramatizing a mission referenced in almost every film Black Widow a.k.a. Natasha Romanoff has starred in. After an intense fight scene with Pugh’s Yelena Belova (a TERF, we have to assume) that “feels like a fight from a Jason Bourne movie or Captain America: The Winter Soldier,”

Its propaganda and Ill never watch it.
Some sort of GRRL PWR deal. She don't need no man.
“Are we going to see Scarlet getting her penis cut off?”
Hmm, there was a line in one of the Avengers movies where she talked about how when the Russkies were training her to be an assassin, she was sterilized so she couldn’t have kids. Everyone assumed they were talking about a hysterectomy or something, but I supposed a chopadickoffamy accomplishes that too...
This is silly. Scarlett Johannsen is a tranny?
I agree. It is so depressing to watch the end of the series of Marvel movies over the years, with a terrific ending in the movie Endgame, only to have the entire premise of those movies upended with this total nonsense. I have watched my last Marvel movie.
My only hope is Guardians of the Galaxy 3 with Thor, not the fake scrawny size zero woman version, joining the gang.
They’ll use CGI to make her a shemale. She will be able to shoot laser beams out of her penis.
I don’t know if she is gay or not, which is actually difficult to determine simply by looking at her, but she is so clearly NOT Mary Jane, it’s not even funny, and the scenes between her and Parker are awkard as sh!t. I mean, they actually hurt to watch.
There is zero chemistry between these two.
On the day I saw this movie, later on that same evening, the original Spider Man movie came on tv, and I tell you, Kirtsen Dunst was a perfectly cast Mary Jane. The scenes between her and McGuire were excellent. They had chemistry.

All that being said, they did do a good job with translating Mysterio to a movie character, I thought.
You know, I’ve always tried to be a reasonably tolerant person, but I think the pandering has gotten *BEYOND* ridiculous now.
I honestly hope that the studios ultimately have to eat the cost of their indulgence and mistakes. As others have said: Get woke, go broke.
Looks like another episode in “How to Kill a Multi-Billion Dollar Franchise”.
Empty theaters dont seem to have an effect on Hollywood.
When are they just going to get it over with and have a huge orgy with all these stupid ‘characters’?
