My first thought too. A while ago Mark Steyn was able to talk to David Cameron. He asked the former ‘conservative’ PM of the UK why he couldn’t get crap done while he was in office. He said the people who reported on him simply chose to ignore him. In other words, their Deep State.
Whether that was actually the case, or whether he was simply a UK version of George W. Bush, I cannot answer.
