Btt waited for this coolness since they announced. Fun to dream about.
Probably still slap a fuel injector on a C3 or get the fuel injected model instead.
Hubby disagrees. Fun discussion among car crazy couples.

IMHO, designers made the body work too busy and gave it a really ugly ass end. The truth about handling and performance will make itself known in the near future, reliability somewhat later. I am thinking this may be more a Lambo/Ferrari wannabee muscle car than a pure sports car.

I’ve had two ‘vettes (’67 427 couple & 2005 C6). Both were reliable, well built, and a blast to drive.
I’m now a truck guy, but that mid-engined one is a beaut - with one exception.
Note to GM, you could lose that lego rear end and rethink it.

Only thing that excited me in car world in ages. I miss the days of the old Hemi Barracuda. This is a Corvette that I could actually afford.

The Z models price up to $125k.
And produce 1,000 hp. And top out at 250mph.
Million dollar performance for $125k.

For all effective purposes, “mid engine” here means rear engine. The weight is over the drive wheels, which is the primary benefit, and it’s all behind the driver. So, technically it’s not behind the axle, or whatever reason they’re using not to call it rear engine. Am I wrong about this. Either way, I bet it feels amazing to drive, and not just because of the additional traction, if the center of gravity is improved.

Wait until you see the new Camaro. I know the company that makes some of the parts to both autos.
It looks like a Camaro that got rear ended.................

I dunno.. it has some C7 meaness to it. I do love the C7. But a mid engine, well he k, it’s like you said, that’s what counts.
I have never even driven a mid engine.
Give it a year or two and see what does/doesnt work.

Looks good. Much better than current car. Rear end does looks cluttered.
Still GM however. I consider them stolen property until bondholders are repaid.

I agree. My first impression of the new Corvette was “That's a Camero?!”

Had a Fiat X1/9 back in the day, mid-engine design. Fun to the max to drive!...............

Is it under the seat in this vette?
I didn’t read that.
A truly centered engine would handle a hell of a lot better than arse heavy

What u talking bout Willis? The engine is in front of the rear axle, hence, mid engine.
To: z3n
In between the rear drive wheels............
