with your stent you are exactly the kind of person who would need that asa each day
there has been a wholesale prescribing of asa for people over a certain age.
Like Prilosec a few years ago until they found it contributed to dementia

Yes, however, two decades ago at a non medical social event/fund raiser, I shared a table with a Chief of Cardiology and a Chief of neurology.
I had brought a couple of bottles of very good Cab to the function. Eventually, after sharing one bottle, the discussion got around to taking a baby aspirin daily.
The chief of Cardiology admitted to taking one a day and rxing it for his patients. So did the neurologist.
Then, after the second bottle of premium cab was opened, I asked when they took their aspirin.
The Cardiologist took his at night before bed, and the neurologist took his in the morning.
Before we finished the second bottle of Cab, they both admitted to taking their aspirin twice a day, in the morning and before bed.
So, I followed the advice of both, I took a baby aspirin in the morning and one at bedtime for two decades. I had zero GI bleeds, Heart attacks and strokes.
Post Stent: I am on two blood thinners and one aspirin a day. Now, I take one baby aspirin before bed.
I thought Prilosec contributed to kidney damage?
I just take a swig of apple cider vinegar each night instead of acid inhibitors/neutralizers.
Oh, and aspirin at bedtime.

And contributes to kidney failure. And we won’t even bring up statins.
