SAND DIEGO (CBSLA) — Tom Cruise surprised attendees at the 2019 Comic-Con International in San Diego Thursday with the official trailer for Top Gun: Maverick.
Comedian Conan O’Brien was finishing up a panel for the upcoming film Terminator: Dark Fate when he introduced Cruise to the unsuspecting audience.

Cruise wasn’t that far removed from his days as a cabana boy at David Geffen’s mansion.
Every single time I heard the gay rumors about Tom Cruise I always rolled me eyes and excused it away to envy he could get any girl at any time.
Locally we have a radio host who long lived in L.A. and her girlfriends still work there in different aspects of Show Biz:
One of her girlfriends told her about the puzzling things on set with Tom Cruise.
He was showing up on set to work and he’d often bring This Other Man.
Well if you had changes to Tom’s lines, or wardrobe substitutions everyone on set knew that because of the dynamics of the Tom/Other man relationship, it would save time to first run those proposed changes by this Other Man.
Who had NO formal role on this set at all.
As you would do with, say, a domineering girlfriend.
But with a man, in this case, and they were not really “on the down-low” about it, either.
She said it was shocking and at first hilarious.
It may be just me, but once he shows up, he the movie becomes about him.
I don’t mean that in a bad way. It could just be that his style of acting is not something I enjoy. I’m not intending of accusing him of being someone who takes over the entire scene.

I’m a big Cruise fan too. The MI movies were great (especially the last one) but Collateral was a great movie that is seriously underrated. I just watched it again last week and I can’t recommend it enough! I know he’s not popular here but one of the best actors of his generation!
Judging by the pressure suit and funky helmet in a couple of the trailer scenes, it may be a rehash of Clint Eastwood's Firefox.
I think he got thin after the throat cancer issues.
Top Gun and Days of Thunder are the two films I use to evaluate my home theater setup.......LOL!
