If her dad was one of the warlords we were there to guard against, then they came into the country under fraudulent circumstances. In which case, no joke, they should be deported back to Somalia, or at least Kenya where they had asylum.

Tue it was reported she went to Turkey when she was running for office and the government there ran ads for her campaign on Turk TV. She illegally received money from foreigners for her campaign.
I agree with JR and would ad, she is a criminal for tax and immigration fraud and should do prison time and then be deported. Not left free as a bad example. The rule of law supercedes political considerations.

While I’ve never done any research into her timeline, from what little I have read about it, I’m still wondering how she became a citizen. She went from somalia to a refugee camp in Kenya then here. She’s 37 and has been a citizen for 20 +/- years putting her becoming a citizen around 17. She was in a refugee camp at 12yrs old and then comes to the US. If that timeline or math is right, how does she become a citizen in 4 or 5 years? I thought it took much longer than that to get naturalized.
Anyone know more about it?

As LS points out on his twitter, Ilhan “Omar” (apparently not her true name), may be facing a real ongoing investigation.
The President may have been advised not to make any statements that might jeopardize a prosecution, by appearing to express undue influence.
The President yesterday said “I’m sure someone is looking at it” in reference to her potential fraud in marrying her brother.
The Beau Berghdahl conviction/sentence was in court for a long time, because of the defense’s claim that President Trump’s statements influenced his ability to get a fair trial.
It is looking like David Steinberg is blowing the lid of Ilhan Omar’s own citizenship being based on fraud, as well as she herself committing multiple frauds to get her brother US citizenship.
