Get a Wifi wireless extender and put it halfway between the router and your computer.

You have to connect to it physically to have it connect to your router but after that it’s like a repeater for your wifi.

Maybe a signal booster — those plug in a wall socket somewhere midway between source and use, and just send and receive. You’ll want them plugged into a surge suppressor.

Get one of these. It will light up your whole house and then some. I used to light up whole condo buildings with these.

It could be that your router is not broadcasting it’s identity. That’s a setting.

You can change the setting or type in the name of the router directly.

Your new device may net be set to automatically find connections.

You can change that setting or type in the name of your router directly.

Do you know to run coax? Call your local Satellite dish dealer and splice an X.25 over T1, muxed through a TS with a TTLP stack.

Is the LAN outlet in the same room as the Himedia box? Does the LAN outlet connect back to your router? If yes, install a Wireless Access point on the LAN outlet.

Thanks for all the input. First, don’t get old. When I bought the box back when, it was for viewing videos only. Didn’t care about Kodi this or Hulu that. But now that its summertime I was wondering what else the box could do with an internet connection. After much much poking around I finally realized that the antenna had not been attached to the box. :<(((((((

Fixing that.
