It’s a Grand Jury and hubby got called, meets every Tue. for the next 4 months.

He told them he was a former LEO, good they said, we want you.

He said we have a 2 week vacation planned in September, no problem, we’ll use alternative.

OK..the vacation time has worked out!

First an update on my grandson donating his Bone Marrow. They did the procedure early this morning and everything went well. My daughter said the doctor told them you get 2 holes drilled into the lower back near your hips and they remove the marrow that is in the center of the bone until they get the required amount that the recipient needs. The doctor said my grandson had a lot of stem cells to give. My daughter said one thing she learned is that the recipients blood type will become the same as my grandson's unless it is already the same type then it won't change. They will be flying back home tomorrow.

Now for my husband. I ended up calling the ambulance to take him to the ER as his temperature was going up and up. When he got there they did LOTS of lab work and he did have a UTI but they also discovered he was EXTREMELY anemic. His RBC and his Hemoglobin has been in the low rage for several years but they don't know why. Doctor wanted him to take iron, but he didn't like taking it. Now his Hemoglobin was down to 4. Critical levels. So far he has had 4 units of blood. I haven't been up today as I am extremely exhausted and need to do some things around the house that hasn't been getting down.
