“She needs to be primaried.”
The only thing that could bring her down in that district is the Amazon debacle. But, most likely, if needed she could make a gentrification case against what would happen if Amazon were there (i.e., long-time residents being driven out of their apartments by sky rocketing rents), so that won’t even dent her.
Face it, we’re stuck with her. But thankfully, Trump isn’t letting the Democrat Party or the media keep her hidden - she is the IN YOUR FACE of the party now, and I love it!
I know lots of people are harping on her about the Amazon deal and she’s a very bright and big target, but I don’t recall Bezo’s saying he was pulling the plug on it because of her. Because I think there are other things to consider that we’ll never know. It’s New York and UNION. Lots of patronage jobs go with the territory, for most. Those “No Show Union Mafia” jobs really do exist. I know because I know someone that got one for around $50k a year after doing about 15+ years in federal prison.
Then there could have been all the local politicians and community organizers that wanted “do nothing” jobs for their sons, daughters, neices/nephews, grandkids, etc etc.
Unless Bezos comes out at some point in the future and spills the beans, we’ll never know what happened.
And that part of LI City has been undergoing some legitimate revitalization for some time now, long before Bezos every took a look at it. For anyone that knows what that place was like 25-30 years ago, it’s completely changed. Lots and lots of development, so it wasn’t like Bezos was going to ride his white horse named, Amazon and completely turn the place around. Sure, it would have added thousands of jobs, but the turn around in that neighborhood started long ago.
But, she is a moron and will forever be one. Unlike many, I like having her there. She forces them all to show their true colors and compete with her, which also shows the true colors of the Dem party.
