I’m gonn’a vote not guilty
He did it...
[The office says Thomas and her husband were hiking in the Mojave Desert approximately 20 miles (32 kilometers) north of the I-40 freeway when they got separated.]
How do you get separated in the Mojave Desert?
I’ve never been there. But it seems like “I’m going off on my own” is not a good strategy.
Bad outfit choice for the Mojave for both night and day. She won’t last long.

Mrs. Thomas was found today and is in a Bishop California hospital.
This is very suspicious. The woman obviously was senile, because no one hikes in the desert in a bikini. With no vegetation in the Mojave Desert, how do people get separated?
96 in Michigan today.
Sounds like a job for Laz.
This is not good. It has been very hot in the California deserts the last few days. It was 124 degrees in the Imperial Valley today which is in the low desert, but it gives you some idea.
A guy I used to work with died out there when his car broke down on I-40. Evidently he used an emergency phone for help, and then abandoned his car. I haven’t been down there for ages, but I figured there would be enough traffic for someone to notice him. I guess the August heat got him pretty fast.
“Didn’t have supplies..”
Like, inadequate amounts of water?
The woman is in a tough situation. Hope they find her.
Was this a 'Trial Separation'?
In Westerns they look for circling Vultures
The story had so much potential.
Good thing she was found quickly because the Mojave kills people who take it lightly.
I once went on a desert safari out in the Mojave sponsored by Barstow College. Spent about 3 days out there. Saw the garden spots like Zzyzx Springs, Kelso, Cima Dome, Baker. If you want to see the Milky Way in all of its grandeur that’s a good place to do it.
Anyway there was one teenage girl in our group who was wearing a bikini top and shorts and I have never seen anyone turn as red from the sun as that girl. Like tomato red. But her parents weren’t concerned. And she wasn’t in any pain.
