I obviously don't agree. The Prince is a friend of mine. I know him reasonably well, and I know the real man not the parody of him presented in the media.
I ask people to consider this - I think we are probably all aware of how so much of the media tries to paint anybody who is even remotely conservative as foolish and inept. The clearest example of this in the modern world is obviously President Trump but it's been done to conservative figures for decades.
And it is what has been done to the Prince of Wales. But for some reason, many people who see it in other cases, do not see it in his.
What we end up with is a parody of the man presented to teh public.
The Prince of Wales is, for the most part, a conservative in his political approach. He would actually fit in quite well on FreeRepublic on most issues. He believes strongly in personal freedoms. He's a gun owner and a shooter. He's a devout Christian (I believe he is inclined to the Greek Orthodox faith of his father's family, far more than the the Church of England, which is something that he had to be somewhat discrete about given the fact that he will be Supreme Governor of the Church of England as King) - I won't enunciate all of his beliefs, partly because I don't feel I can, but also because I don't think I have the right - but he is overall a conservative.
His environmental beliefs are an exception to that - that is the one big issue that he agrees with the left wing media on, so they publicise his statements on that to a far greater degree than on other issues, and that gives people a rather disjointed idea of what the man believes.
How often do we hear about the Prince speaking out about the persecution of Christians in the Middle East, for example? Because he does. He has repeatedly. He's one of the few major figures in the west, certainly in Europe, to speak up on this issue - but that doesn't get much attention in the media because it doesn't fit the agenda of most of the media.
In terms of what he will be like as King... this is a man who has overwhelmingly done his duty his entire life (his marriage to Diana may mark the one exception to that - something I think he would acknowledge to some extent - but he's a changed man in many ways since then). He was raised from birth to do so. Whatever you may think of the idea of a monarchy, this is not a role he chose, but a role that was inflicted on him more or less from birth, and certainly from the moment his Mother became Queen when he was only three years old. He has accepted it and has spent his entire life training and preparing for it. When it falls to him, he will - as he has always done - do his duty to his God, his country, and to the entire Commonwealth of Nations. And he will do it well.
He will not match his Mother - Her Majesty has been the longest serving Monarch in British history - his reign will be much shorter - statistically he'd be lucky to see his Silver Jubilee if he became King today (and Long Live the Queen!) - and she has arguably been one of the greatest as well though that is a judgement best left to history. But he will carry out his constitutional duties to the best of his ability, and he will do it well.

Now, put another Stephanopoulos on the barbie.
Thank you very much, natural man!
Thanks for posting that.
Thank you. I value first-hand information far above anything sifted through media. I think there is a great wealth of such life knowledge here on our thread, but yours is certainly unique.
If only the Prince could see through the lies on global warming. Please remind him that plants breathe carbon dioxide; and carbon is the major building block of all life. It is the FARTHEST THING from a pollutant or poison.
The global warming hoax is so anti-life ... it is a cult of death. If he is what you say he is, and has the courage to use his own mind, then I feel (and pray) he can come to see this and could perform a great service for the world from his position of influence.
I, too, have met Prince Charles. I found him absolutely charming and very likable. I cannot imagine living in the bubble that has been his life. While I do not know him as naturalman does, I have nothing negative to say about him.

Good report - do you know Prince Andrew?
