Why Eastern Europeans Fear Islam: The Siege of Vienna, 1683
American Thinker ^ | 07/14/2019 | Raymond Ibrahim

“Austria acts against Muslims almost every day because of their subconscious fear of Turks,” writes Turkish historian Erhan Afyoncu in the Daily Sabah. “Austrians have not forgotten the fear and their emperor’s escape in the Battle of Vienna in 1683. When Turks were defeated in the Battle of Vienna, Europeans were so happy…”

Because this is true, a brief refresher of the Siege of Vienna is in order, particularly as its anniversary is right around now:

Around July 15, 1683, the largest Islamic army ever to invade European territory -- which is saying much considering that countless invasions preceded it since the eighth century -- came and surrounded Vienna, then the heart of the Holy Roman Empire and longtime nemesis of Islam.

Some 200,000 Muslim combatants, under the leadership of the Ottomans -- the one state in nearly fourteen centuries of Islamic history most dedicated to and founded on the principles of jihad -- invaded under the same rationale that so-called “radical” groups, such as the Islamic State, cite to justify their jihad on “infidels.” Or, to quote the leader of the Muslim expedition, Grand Vizier Kara Mustafa, because Vienna was perceived as the head of the infidel snake, it needed to be laid low so that “all the Christians would obey the Ottomans.”

This was no idle boast; sources describe this Mustafa as “fanatically anti-Christian.” After capturing a Polish town in 1674 he ordered all the Christian prisoners to be skinned alive and their stuffed hides sent as trophies to Ottoman Sultan Muhammad IV. Such supremacist hate was standard and on display during the elaborate pre-jihad ceremony presaging the siege of Vienna.

Read about the siege of Buda Hungary in 1541 that made them Islamic for 150 years.

It was pure trickery.

The Russians should have marched all the way to Istanbul in the 1870s and changed it back to Constantinople.

Not just Turks. The Ottoman army was made up of Muslims from as far away as Malaysia.

The Siege of Buda (4 May to 21 August 1541) ended with the capture of the city of Buda, Hungary by the Ottoman Empire, leading to 150 years of Ottoman control of Hungary. The siege, part of the Little War in Hungary, was one of the most important Ottoman victories over the Habsburg Monarchy during Ottoman–Habsburg wars (16th to 18th century) in Hungary and the Balkans.

The Ottomans then occupied the city as friends, which in its turn was celebrating the liberation, with a trick: Suleyman invited the infant John II Sigismund Zápolya with the Hungarian noblemen into his tent, meanwhile the Turkish troops began to slowly infiltrate into the fort as “tourists” seemingly in admiration of the architecture of the buildings.

However, at a sudden alert they wielded their weapons and disarmed the guards and the whole garrison thereafter.

At the same time, the Hungarian noblemen felt uncomfortable in the sultan’s tent and wanted to leave. In that moment, on the outcry of the sultan “The black soup (coffee) is still to come!” They were captured.

Memories are short. Greece was under muzzy occupation for 400 years, yet there are bearded towelheads on the streets of Athens.

The Greeks really haven’t been a military power, so far as I can recall, since Philip of Macedon came through.

Europe is repeating for the whole Continent that capture of Buda. They Remember but they don’t learn. Compassion for the Mussulmans is a suicidal emotion.

Here is a good place to start

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russo-Turkish_War_(1877–1878)

Russia had great dreams of empire, but also had very legitimate historical grievances against the Ottoman Caliphate, their Islamic hatred of Christianity and continual oppression of the slavs.

There are no friendly Moslems. Friendship for infidels is feigned for the purpose of allowing the Saracens to infiltrate and to lull the infidels. Moslems are strictly admonished in the Koran that they are not to take friends from among the pagans and People of the Book
There are no moderate Moslems. It is the nature of the religion. Anything to the moderate side of Islam is Apostasy and merits death to be administered by any Moslem.

The date when the Islamic conquest of Europe was defeated, and Islam rolled back, was at the Battle of Vienna.

September 11 1683.

Thanks for the link. Now I see. The UK was still playing the “Great Game” against Russia.
