The man accused of killing Mackenzie Lueck was formally charged Wednesday as prosecutors revealed during an emotional press conference that the University of Utah student was found dead with her arms bound behind her back "by a zip tie and rope" and that she had a 2-inch hole in her skull.
Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill said Alooya Ajayi has been charged with aggravated murder, aggravated kidnapping, obstruction of justice and desecration of a human body. The remains of the 23-year-old student were dug up 80 miles north of Salt Lake City last Wednesday.
Mackenzies arms were bound behind her back by a zip tie and rope," Gill said. "A five-centimeter hole was located on the left side of her skull with part of her left scalp missing.

She did. She was playing with fire and unfortunately met her fate.
Yep.
No Lyft is off the hook.
There was a local story written June 27th. While the reporter was on site watching the police dig up the yard a guy stopped by from the previous Friday to pick up his stuff from the Airbnb basement unit she was probably killed in. The creep had apparently given away the mattress online, so it looks like the police must have that too. There was a house cleaner who had been contracted to clean the unit and she said there were cameras hidden all over the unit. Most likely he recorded the whole thing to video.
From Heavy.com...
-snip-
"She was reported missing on Thursday, June 20, by family.
Police said Luecke landed at the airport at 1:35 a.m. and texted her parents at 2:01 a.m. to say she had arrived there.
She took a Lyft rideshare at 2:42 from the airport to a park in North Salt Lake.
Police said at a June 24 press conference that interviews with the Lyft driver revealed Lueck met someone in another vehicle at Hatch Park in North Salt Lake when the rideshare driver dropped her off at 2:59 a.m.
Police declined to release details about the make and model of the car or a description of the driver that Lueck met because they have not confirmed those details and do not want to put out possible misinformation.
Detectives have spoken with the Lyft driver and learned that MacKenzie was met at Hatch Park by an individual in a vehicle.
The Lyft driver left MacKenzie at the park with that person and stated that MacKenzie did not appear to be in any type of distress.
We have not yet confirmed the make and model of the car or the description of the person, but may release further details once we have verified that information, Assistant Police Chief Tim Doubt said.
He said the driver saw Lueck make contact with the other person, but was not sure if the driver saw her get into the other vehicle or leave the park."

Don’t get me wrong, I agree with your post. :^)
Most animals kill for survival and it looks like this one kills for fun.
Looks like Airbnb. She was killed in a rental unit that some guy stayed in afterward before the police came and dug up the yard.
Yes. She was a whore and he was a John. That is why they were "communicating."
Being a hooker has always been a dangerous business. No great loss if both of these creeps end up buried in the same unmarked hole.
Airbnb
Or perhaps it was to rent the airbnb unit that she was killed in
Funny how you brought up Cannibalism because that came across my mind when I heard about hooks being placed on ceiling.
According to her profile which I have seen, she was into kinky sex with black guys. This guy claimed to work for some big company like Goldman Sachs or something, and pretended to be much wealthier than he really was.
So far everything i've read on the subject indicates she was tricking for money. You don't meet up secretly with someone at 2:00 in the morning to discuss renting a B&B.
She was a “Sugar Baby” who regularly met up with “Sugar Daddies” (rich older men who would provide her with gifts and cash in exchange for “companionship”).
She was a prostitute.
I wonder what she was majoring-in in college, cheap trash that she clearly was.
Poor girl...a very long line of very bad decisions.....
The fact she took Lyft instead of a taxi probably helped the investigation. They had a computer record of where she was let out the time and the driver. With a taxi its all just memories
The Lyft driver picked her up from the airport and too her to the park. She was a senior and if she was living on campus, that would have been closed to her. Time will tell, but this wouldn’t be the first Airbnb horror story. Plus when the media contacted them, as the cops were digging up the yard, they claimed it was an inactive listing even though there was a guy who had stayed that Friday who swung by to pick up his stuff only to find that he had stayed in a place that was a crime scene.
You get in from a family funeral on the red eye flight, you’re just want a place to stay.
I had not considered this possibility before, and perhaps you are right. We shall just have to see what the trial reveals.
