She is the 5th youngest to make it into this round. Stefi Graf did it twice — once at 14+ and once at 15+. Graf holds the youngest and 3rd youngest on that list.

I didn’t know that about Graf. She retired at age 30 when she was still competitive at the top (ranked 3rd in the world) and still winning majors. Had she stayed active for a few more years she no doubt would have set records that would still be standing.

I enjoyed watching her play and missed her presence after she retired. Of course she had a personal life she wanted to live ... so God bless her.
