Nice, and I like your picking bucket too. I got half of one of those of wild blackberries last evening, but for every one I picked I swear I got a mosquito bite. There will be a lot this year and I really want to make a pie.

After our buckets were filled with blueberries, and taken to the kitchen, Mom knew what to do.
She got out her cast iron griddle and went to work. This is how my mom's blueberry pancakes looked.
The ruffled edges were a bit crisp and held the little
rivulets of melted butter and maple syrup...delicious.
