It is very “illinoising” to pay for the corruption. However, for us retirees, There are no taxes on any retirement income, whereas Indiana does tax RMD withdrawals at 3.23%. Also, Illinois’ new gas tax is about 2 cents higher than Indiana’s.
The insanity in Illinois is in the property taxes and the complete chicago/stlouis corruption.
The new progressive taxes, if approved, will drive the big money out.
convinced my wife 16 years ago to leave her MA , and move to FL, ... We have not looked back since and it was the best move we have ever done. Now our votes mean something.
