I have been a flying enthusiast since I was a kid, own a several hang gliders, two airplanes and live on an airport. But, I do not like flying in something that can go down with the failure of a single nut or bolt that wasn’t properly safety wired or just breaks. Helicopters are by far the easiest flying craft to sabotage by a factor of around ten. It doesn’t really matter much whether you are talking about a used homemade gyrocopter, or a $27 Million Super Puma, they all have vulnerable points that can be messed with that are difficult to detect in a preflight and impossible to figure out later in an accident investigation.
