I have no issue with the ladies in sports.
I do have a huge issue with women in combat.
This story is tragic, and a young life was needlessly taken which has nothing to do with what you were talking about.
As a former USMC infantryman, I don’t see why there’s any problem at all with a woman as a Marine.
Now, in the Combat Arms? Yeah. I have problems with that and it doesn’t had a single damn thing to do with chauvinism or knuckle-dragging and it does have every thing to do with actual bio-physical reality.
But as a Marine in general? There’s plenty room in the Corps for women and has been since the Corps went from a couple battalions to a full brigade way back when.
Some are being respectful on this thread and others are not.

Wasn’t relevant in this situation. That she was killed is the tragic part. That society is dumb enough to put women in front line military roles is yet another thing. As for women playing football, let them. I can tell you I’d be a little concerned about my daughter getting rushed by a 190 lbs linebacker while she attempted a field goal.
Guards and tackles miss their assignments all the time. That’s all it would take. Might as well put her in pads and hit her with your car at 10 mph.
