As a former USMC infantryman, I don’t see why there’s any problem at all with a woman as a Marine.
Now, in the Combat Arms? Yeah. I have problems with that and it doesn’t had a single damn thing to do with chauvinism or knuckle-dragging and it does have every thing to do with actual bio-physical reality.
But as a Marine in general? There’s plenty room in the Corps for women and has been since the Corps went from a couple battalions to a full brigade way back when.
My daughter’s MOS is “tactical air traffic management,” or something to that effect. Keeping our helicopters from flying into one another.
She’s in Okinawa, and they’re going to Australia any time now to drill with Australian Marines.
