NFL players are not fully vested for retirement payments for 5 years.
Plus, based on his age, he is still under a rookie contract.(no big pay)

The pickup truck probably cost him a good chunk of “his money”. A heavy ride is usually the first thing they splurge on before the Esculade for Mamma.

He didn’t make any real money, unfortunately. 7th round pick by the Panthers in 2018, cut and hung around on their practice squad until he was signed by Dophins late last year. He got paid but not enough to set him up for life or anything. He’ll have a tough time emotionally because unlike for an accountant, losing a limb means his career is definitely over. Wishing him the best.

His agent should take him to wounded warriors to see what determination and courage can do.

My uncle lost his arm in a corn picker in the 1950s. He wasvery young. While he was in the hospital room at harvest time he was trying to encourage his roommate who had lost his arm as well. Common thing during harvest Time back in the day. He went on to become a very successful business man. He used to buy cars sealed-bid from different state agencies like the department of forestry and agriculture. Never heard him complain ever in his life. He out-worked most two-armed men his whole life. Every time I remember him he had a big smile on his face. He was famous in his small town on South Dakota for being an amazing dancer with the gals as well. Oh yes, and he loved the Lord.

They had to amputate his arm at the wreck, just to get him out of the vehicle.
