As far as I am aware, there is no central authority for public libraries above the county or municipal level.
Yet somehow, all over the country in as short a time as possible, drag queen story hour at the library is a thing.

Oregon has suffered the drip drip drip of California transplants for the last couple of decades. Oregon is well past the tipping point. Another one bites the dust. Colorado is gone; Arizona and Texas are next.
