Missing 2-Year-Old Denton Boy Found Dead Inside Vehicle

Police in Denton had been searching for a missing 2-year-old for more than 15 hours when a horrible discovery was made.

It was around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday when officers found little Sarbesh Gurung in the back of an SUV at the apartment complex where he lived with his family.

At a morning press conference Denton Police Department Chief Frank Dixon said, “We stand here this morning heartbroken and it is with my deepest sorrow that I let you all know that we did locate Sarbesh this morning, just shortly after six o’clock. He was found in a vehicle and he was found deceased.”

The Chief said the SUV, which had dark window tinting and a sunshade up, was parked not far from the Gurung home and that it was owned by a family member. That person found the child as they were getting into the vehicle Wednesday morning.

“That family is completely shocked and devastated themselves,” the Chief said.

Sarbesh’s mother told police that she had put her son down for a nap and when she went to check on him around 2:00 p.m. the child was gone. The woman said she frantically searched for Sarbesh for about four minutes before calling 911.

yes I already apologized for it!

I was suggesting to someone what to do about his “alma mater’s” (past college) corruption of due process for males in regard to Title IX cases.

I posted my suggestion in the wrong discussion thread!

Yep. There’s a reason it’s called “The Terrible Twos.” =)

"It's not clear in the story that it was the family's SUV."

You are correct- One place says the SUV was owned by a family member, and another place it says "a neighbor".

Some parents are too lazy to try to put the little one down for a nap especially if the child is fussy. But they know that the kid falls asleep when they drive around, so they load them up and drive until the kid nods off. Then they go home and leave them in the car so they can get a good nap.

Thats my first thought.

have you ever tried to get out of the back seat of a car with child locks on the back doors? As a full grown adult it is difficult. It would be impossible for a 2 year old

Hey Dad....
Great stories.
I think all parents have them. Well, parents before the PC police took control.

The cinder block thing. ...that’s a good one.

Bobby was 4
Wanted to help old man neighbor rake leafs
Bobby stuck a stick in the fire
Then he played solider and placed the burning stick on his shoulder. Began marching around.
His coat caught fire
....
Funny part was watching the 90 year old man chase the little boy around the yard. Kinda like 3 stooges.

Anyhow, I caught Bobby before he was injured. I was more worried for the old man having a stroke or something.

And people wonder why I look old. Lol,

You must be a good Dad.
Dang, can’t get over that cinder block thing. I truly thought I saw it all. Lol

That’s a crap story.
If people do that, they should not be parents.

Sarbesh? What a horrible name. Why not Lardass? That would be a better name.

Well, my wife was only a few feet away, he climbed up on the deck railing, and before she could grab him, he flipped over the side.

Fire is good for stories. We had a wood stove with a hockey shaped Ash slicer. A 3 year old stuck it in there, yelled “Hockey,” and branded one of his 6 year old brothers on the leg.

…will she be able to say it was just a Late Post Term Abortion and go home??

Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) would agree.

The parachute story. ..

The boys climbed onto the roof of the school (right next door)

Again, the eldest Stooge, led the way
...they took a bed sheet, metal milk crate,
Well, the youngest was strapped in the crate and my 4 other geniuses tossed him off the roof.

Well, the chute never opened.
Somehow, my boy bounced and again was not injured.

I was thanking God when they left for college.
I’ve got the 5 stooges.

All graduated college.

Architect
Mechanical Engineer
Structural Engineer
Psychologist
University Professor

Yeah I know. The University is brainwashing him....

I had a neighbor that did just that in the 80s. But they would sit in the car with them in their driveway with the doors open until their baby woke up.

Sad but true...

Maybe it’s me, but I can’t see how a 2 year could climb into and shut the door of an SUV.

I do. I spent some time there starting an incinerator up at a Peterbilt plant.

Thankfully he came out OK. In one summer leave from USAFA I brought home a surplus parachute to give to my little brother. My Mom was terrified he'd find out a way to climb to the top of the barn and try to use it.

How about shoddy work when a journalist can list the state and city in their article. I remember better times when journalists were worth something. Do you think that everyone in the US knows where Denton is?

One, it’s a TV station in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Two, anyone in the DFW area knows what Denton is.
Nothing shoddy about it.
