My observations were merely to counter those who only ever harp on Franklin’s human side. I like to recall his sage advice when the Constitutional Convention was deadlocked in contention and bickering; that the members needed to return to the custom of opening each session with prayer to the Almighty. And the wonderful and harmonious effect those prayers had. Have a happy and rewarding Fourth.
