Yes there's s Kaiser right up the road about a mile away and another in Burlingame about 4 or 5 miles to the southeast.

SF General is the regional trauma center. The fact that they drove past Kaiser, which has a pretty good ER, means thee victims had major injuries.

there should be a closer trauma center!

that distance and the horrible traffic on way to SFGeneral...will kill people by delay in receiving needed care

Yes, SF General is the best trauma center around. I use Kaiser as my primary hospital (a short walk from my home), but wouldn't use it for severe emergencies like a shooting. We took my granddaughter to Kaiser when she injured her head in a fall, and their emergency room is very small compared with SF General (which I have used as a child when I was injured). Seton hospital in Daly City is nearby, but has a smaller emergency room (I went there for treatment and was disgusted at the service, before making Kaiser my go-to hospital).
