San Bruno police said they are at Tanforan Mall in San Bruno investigating reports of a shooting. They advised residents to stay out of that area.
Brent Andrews, spokesperson for San Francisco General Hospital, told ABC7 there were four victims in the shooting, two of whom were taken to SF General. He said two victims taken to SF General were juveniles, "15-18 years old," with gunshot injuries. One of the victims is in critical condition and the other is in serious condition. Andrews also said the two others were taken to other hospitals in the area.

See, see! Them MAGA hat mofos again!
I just flew back into the SF Bay Area from an Iowa trip. My daughter picked me up at SFO just after 4pm, telling me traffic was snarled in the area due to a shooting at Tanforan Mall nearby. Police shut down the Tanforan Mall, and the San Bruno BART station attached to the mall. Police also redirected traffic away from streets surrounding the mall, including busy El Camino Real. It took us a while to leave SFO and drive around the congestion. My daughter was scared, because her memory is fresh about the shooting at Yahoo last year that happened across the street from her office building in Bayhill Business Center in San Bruno.
Instead of advising residents to stay out of the area in which they...reside, why don’t police ever tell feral punks to stay out of residential (and retail) areas?
I mentioned Yahoo, sorry, I believe it was YouTube headquarters in San Bruno where the shooting happened last year.
Was that the crazed freaky Iranian woman?
Police also shut down the Oakland 12th St BART station because they were searching for the shooter and suspected he was on a train from San Bruno. Feral youth sometimes use BART to get to peninsula destinations (richer targets) from Oakland to do mayhem. The San Bruno BART station is attached to the San Bruno Tanforan Mall (and is next to a police station so response is rapid).
I realize I’d forgotten about that. Here’s the summary.

There are closer hospitals Hum?
Won't want to offend certain people's sensibilities by giving a better description....Would we.
Actually that shooting was at YouTube, about three blocks north of the mall.
SF General is the regional trauma center. The fact that they drove past Kaiser, which has a pretty good ER, means thee victims had major injuries.
i see
thanks for info
there should be a closer trauma center!
that distance and the horrible traffic on way to SFGeneral...will kill people by delay in receiving needed care
Then again they did shut down SB Bart. People in the Bay Area would no what that means. No sense in making a big deal out of it.
There is a cosmopolitan mix of people at Tanforan. Very safe mall. The Serramonte Mall a couple miles north is surrounded by Filipino neighborhoods (Daly City is called Little Manila by some). Serramonte Mall is crowded with Filipinos on any given day. Tanforan has a mix of whites and asians, very few blacks unless they come from across the bay via BART. Peninsula towns are pretty safe, except for a sometimes shooting, and have been going upscale with million-dollar home prices. We go to Tanforan Mall often because of the movie multiplex connected to the food court.
Perhaps, I don't remember. When it happened, a shooting victim ran into my daughter's office building across the street seeking help. Her building then went into shutdown mode while police responded.
Yes, SF General is the best trauma center around. I use Kaiser as my primary hospital (a short walk from my home), but wouldn't use it for severe emergencies like a shooting. We took my granddaughter to Kaiser when she injured her head in a fall, and their emergency room is very small compared with SF General (which I have used as a child when I was injured). Seton hospital in Daly City is nearby, but has a smaller emergency room (I went there for treatment and was disgusted at the service, before making Kaiser my go-to hospital).
“15-18 year-olds”
Yutes.
I hope this doesn't drive away customers from Tanforan Mall, which I like a lot. It is very friendly for young kids (not yutes, but the 1 to 12 year-old kids). The movie multiplex is right on the food court, which has some great variety of food. The mall has many kid-friendly arcades, play areas, and other venues for kids. Like a train ride that circles around the upper level, traveling the corridors among walkers. The lower level has mobile electric animal vehicles for kids to ride on. My grandkids especially like those. I haven't seen stuff like that at other malls locally. The movie complex does draw a lot of teenagers, but most are decent and not unruly.
As a side note, Tanforan used to be a racetrack where the prize-winning horse Sea Biscuit of movie fame ran, and was used as a Japanese-American detention facility during WWII.
“The facility was named after Toribio Tanforan, the grandson-in-law of Jose Antonio Sanchez, the grantee of the Rancho Buri Buri Mexican land grant.” — Wikipedia
