I don’t think people ever give up faith - unless they actually LOSE faith.
Sometimes they give up the outer trappings of it, though.
Many believers give up religion, but not their faith.
Religion is a man-made ritual system of control.
And if there were baskets at the door for church congregants to drop their Sunday masks in, they’d need to be big baskets.
