Steph Houghton's missed spot kick What is a center-back doing taking such a vital penalty?
Steph Houghton scored 13 goals for England in the last 10 years.
Hell that?

USA must have been amazed to see her stepping up for the penalty shot.

@realDonaldTrump tells Rapinoe he is a big fan and invites the team to the White House whether they win or lose.President Trump knows to extend the invite no matter what. If they come, great. If they stomp their feet and profanely refuse, that's on them, not him.

President Trump knows to extend the invite no matter what. If they come, great. If they stomp their feet and profanely refuse, that's on them, not him.
In the first two-plus years of President Donald Trump's administration, 20 major sports teams have won championships, but only 10 celebrated at the White House.
Trump did not invite many of the teams, and some of those made it clear that they would not have attended even if he had.

Referees give a gift to Mexico on that penalty.
I was rooting so hard for Haiti.

I just posted the same thought on another site. That was a shame. The Haiti striker, Frantzdy Pierrot, grew up in the town next to me. Fantastic basketball player also.
The Argentina v Brazil game was an absolute blast. I didn’t want it to end. Argentina hasn’t looked too good but they showed up last night and the better team won.

I think the whole neighborhood heard me when they hit the crossbar with just about a minute left in ET.
I was wondering if the US played Haiti in the finals, while I would root for the US, I would have been happy too if Haiti won, because my god, those people deserve a little joy in their lives, even if it’s just soccer.

England’s women’s football World Cup defeat to USA was
the most-watched British television broadcast of the year, with the success of Phil Neville’s team opening up the sport to new audiences.
A peak audience of 11.7 million tuned in to watch the end of England’s 2-1 defeat on Tuesday evening – more than the peak live audience for the finale of the hit drama Line of Duty.
An average of 10.3 million Britons watched the entire match – although the figures do not include the many people who watched it via the BBC’s online streaming services or those who watched in public spaces or pubs.
Large audiences have tuned in for all of the Women’s World Cup matches, which have all been shown by the BBC. Even matches not including England and Scotland have attracted millions of British viewers, suggesting a wider enthusiasm for women’s football as a whole.

Well it’s not as if CONCACAF outside of Mexico is all that great shakes, I mean only beating Curaçao, 1-0 (yes, I know most of their players grew up in the Netherlands).
I was impressed with the Trinidad game, didn’t see that one coming.
I still question some of Berhalters decisions and wonder if he’s the guy.
