The winner will move on to Sunday's championship game to take on either the Netherlands or Sweden. The loser will play in the third-place game on Saturday. No team has ever reached the Women's World Cup final three straight times. After losing the 2011 final in penalty kicks and winning the 2015 final (both games against Japan), the United States can become the first team to reach that mark with a win over the Lionesses on Tuesday.

Pretty clear that FIFA has sent word to the refs that the US must get to the finals for ratings purposes. Look for as many US free kicks and PK’s as necessary for Team Deviant to go through to the final as this is the only way they seem to be able to score (at least on the field).

An American Patriot should never root against a USA National team. I hate Rapino too but I certainly don’t want to see the USA lose to anyone. I keep rooting for Rapino to break a leg or an ankle so she ends her career that way. A little karma to go with progressivism. But never should we root against our Team USA no matter how many problems we have with some of the players. The team, the team, the team is all that matters.
