Tufts to remove mural with only white people 'to attract a diversity of people'

A Massachusetts university has decided to take down a historical mural after students complained that the paintings depicting only white men eroded the school’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Tufts University stated in a news release that the Alumnae Lounge mural, which depicts “the great names of men” who informed the school’s history, does not include “a single image of a person of color, for example, despite the fact that black students were enrolled at Tufts as early as the late nineteenth century.”

It’s really too bad for them, because white males are at the center of big-picture American history for almost all of our history. White males, for that matter, are at the center of most big-picture world history-even an isolationist nation like Japan has to account for the importance of Commodore Matthew Perry in the opening and modernization of Japan. That’s because almost uniquely among people’s, it’s been white males who have gone out and explored and discovered and trailblazer, across seas, beneath the seas, across space. There’s not a thing in the world the whiners can do about that except to ignore history, but they’re not above ignoring history. Hence the increasing ignorance of generations, including college graduates. They’re not taught the truth, they’re taught political correctness, and if a thing can’t be changed to include the black manservant and inflate his importance to the expedition, then history just gets ignored until it’s forgotten.

Exactly. I would never mock a server in a restaurant, no matter how bad the service by leaving a "cent" tip. However, I would gladly donate "one cent" to these folks.

It could be that sending them a single cent ($0.01USD) would be a form of protest. Be sure to send a note regarding the painting with your donation.

As a donation the institution has to fill out paperwork for tax purposes and spend money to send you a thank you letter aknowleging your contribution.

Prolly cost them $15-20 in time, paperwork, postage, etc.
