I love soccer. I absolutely love both the men’s and women’s World Cup. But if the US women lose today I will be just fine with it. It’s unreal how politically charged a simple soccer tournament has become. I won’t miss all the stories about how defiant and brave these players are because they swear at a sitting president. Sorry for being a downer.
No problem really. The English love their football and going to the final would be an achievement for them.
Theyre up against the unbeaten top ranked team in the world and will have to work hard for it.
USA is the favorite here because everyone expects them to win.
Go England.
Tonight Brazil vs Argentina in the semi-finals of the Copa.
It would be their second title, third final.
On another note, I read about the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees playing a couple of games in London over the weekend. I think some 50+ runs were scored in those two games. What an introduction to the sport that must have been to the London people. They are probably saying that the Americans can keep their four-hour high-scoring game with all those pitching changes. Just like we tell them they can keep their boring low-scoring game of soccer.
I’ve worked with the Brits a number of times and I would be psyched if their women go through, even at the expense of the US. Gonna be a heck of a game.
Haha. Wait a minute. Don’t cricket games last for hours and score hundreds of runs?
The game is in France.
They have beaches with sand you can walk barefoot on...
I hope the unpatriotic Rapahole loses so she doesn’t have to worry about going to the Fu..ing White House.
I hope England kicks their a**......Royally, of course.
By the way, the world souvenir has tripped up many a child in a spelling bee. Tough word to spell correctly.
I think souvenir is a French word.
Lesbian kick ball? No thanks.
Maybe throw in a blown ACL.
Notice I didn't say the USA...I said them.
It would be their second straight title and fourth total. The US won in 1991, 1999, and 2015.
That may be true but the article is about becoming the first team to make it to the final 3 straight times, then it was incorrectly stated that this would be their third straight title, which it wouldn’t be. That was what I was correcting not their overall record.
Test matches can last 5 days but they do have lunch and tea breaks so its civilized. :)
I love soccer. I follow English football more than NFL. I have rooted for the women’s team in the past.
I really hope the Trump curse affects the USWNT. They’ve been disgraceful.
