Mine was an Elan Plus 2S, 1971. Not the original Elan.

Trust me, you don't want a Maserati, even if one's given to you.

We need to do the Hot/Crazy Matrix for cars.
I’ve a Miata that is going on 10 years old and it is without a doubt the best bang for the sports car buck you can get. Not one issue or problem so far and more fun to drive than a person should have.
Wish there were V8 sports cars from Japan. Toyota’s Supra and Nissan’s Z cars should have been those.
Why do Brits love warm beer?
Because Lucas also makes refrigerators.
Good one - LOL!
I’ve heard it said that Britain may have ruled the waves, but her cars are afraid of a mud puddle.
Have had two Spitfires, 69 and 74. Restored the 69, only vehicle I lost money on, and just drove the 74. But the hoods went up and down almost daily. Just keeping those twin SU carbs in sync was a challenge, besides the electronics.
But damn ... they were fun to drive!
TL;DR: It’s an Alfa. It is so enjoyable when it does run properly that you just learn to deal with it when it doesn’t.
It’s the psycho girlfriend of the automotive world.
“Its called a Miata.”
Yup. I’m on my second Miata, and that’s mostly because my first one got rear-ended hard enough that buying another first-gen Miata was less expensive than repairing it.
My current car is a ‘90. My first one was a ‘91, which made it to 327K without ever even taking the head off the engine. It was still on its original transmission too.
Ah, yes.... the Fiata.

I’ve owned two NA Miatas, and I got my ‘91 to 327K with just basic maintenance for the most part. As I mentioned elsewhere, I replaced it primarily because I got rear-ended in it and it would have cost more to repair it than what I paid for the ‘90 Miata that replaced it.
As for the ‘90 that I currently drive, I bought it from a friend of mine (and probably got it for a lot less than he could have sold it for because of that). He bought it from a doctor in Chicago who kept it at his winter home in Arizona and over the 22 years he owned it only ran up 22K on it. My friend bought it to tow behind an RV, and when I bought it the car was a little under 43K. He figures the car probably racked up about 15,000 miles in tow behind the RV!
As of now, she has just over 80K on the odometer.
My buddy had a 80 something fiat and i had my 80 MGB. He would rag on my MG as i picked him up to go somewhere.
Its called a Miata.
In 1966 I bought a Spit. I now own a BRG Miata. I worship the car. People actually stop me on the street with compliments. My granddaughters love it!
Ha, I thought it was a Miata!
I’ll just stick with my 2018 Navigator.
