My grandfather had brain cancer and had part of his brain and skull cut away like that.
One day he decided to end it all and plunged a knife into that spot.

Sorry to read that.

Was the suicide the result of the suffering from the cancer or the after result of having part cut away??

That sounds like it could be pretty devastating.

My dad did too.

That’s gruesome but you’re right there is often no protection left there

Brain cancer is a painless but hard death...fading away

My dad’s tumor which started benign but deadly anyhow given the location originated precisely where he’d been injured in a controlled crash in an F86 decades before as a fighter pilot

Mayo suspected origination as calcification maybe...they said they had seen that before where a tumor originated where prior trauma to skull had occurred
