U.N. Predicts Disaster if Global Warming Not Checked .. PETER JAMES SPIELMANN ... June 30, 1989

UNITED NATIONS (AP) _ A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.

Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of ″eco- refugees,′ ′ threatening political chaos, said Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the U.N. Environment Program, or UNEP.

He said governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control.

As the warming melts polar icecaps, ocean levels will rise by up to three feet, enough to cover the Maldives and other flat island nations, Brown

Coastal regions will be inundated; one-sixth of Bangladesh could be flooded, displacing a fourth of its 90 million people. A fifth of Egypt’s arable land in the Nile Delta would be flooded, cutting off its food supply, according to a joint UNEP and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency study.

Luckily, it's been checked. We just completed an extra special cold winter and spring.

As I said before...when liberals sell their oceanfront mansions for pennies on the dollar, then I’ll believe them, until then, they can GFY...

And they are still at it with the dire predictions today! Goebbels lives on.

U.N. Predicts Disaster if Global Warming Not Checked
PETER JAMES SPIELMANN June 30, 1989~30 years ago~!

UNITED NATIONS (AP) _ A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.

Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of eco- refugees; threatening political chaos, said Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the U.N. Environment Program, or UNEP.

He said governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control.

As the warming melts polar icecaps, ocean levels will rise by up to three feet, enough to cover the Maldives and other flat island nations, Brown told The Associated Press in an interview on Wednesday.

Ecological refugees will become a major concern, and what’s worse is you may find that people can move to drier ground, but the soils and the natural resources may not support life. Africa doesn’t have to worry about land, but would you want to live in the Sahara? he said.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

Exactly right. The high priests of the cult of global warming show no signs they actually believe what they preach. No only that, non of their predictions of doom have com true. Until then, I will continue my stance as a heretic to the dogma in the cult of global warming.

This is why I started looking into it and doing some fact checking long ago. Y2K came and went, New York and Miami were not underwater, polar ice caps didn’t melt, polar bears didn’t go extinct, and Al Gore and all his climate fearmongers didn’t sell their seaside mansions...

Why is it Gore and all his buddies screaming at us that we should all drive a Prius, always fly chartered jets all over the world and nobody “plane pools” the way they tell us to car pool? Why was Gore’s Tennessee mansion nowhere near “green” until he was busted by a reporter and scrambled to put in a few solar panels and such? His light bill was 5 times the local average...why did they have to clear out a military base to have a place to park 1500 private planes to hold their “Paris Climate Talks”? Why do people like Hillary, Pelosi, Obama, Gore, and all the rest ride around in the biggest gas guzzling Suburbans while telling us how awful we are to drive our Prius, we should be riding bicycles?

All a huge hoax. Polar ice caps are growing. According to Gore, 7000 polar bears were near going extinct. Now only 30,000 of them are left. The last 6 years we’ve seen exceptionally harsh winters, and it’s not getting any better. Snowfall and low temperatures have broken 100 year records. I expect to see 200 year records fall in the next few years. Ocean levels have not increased, less than 1/10 inch from what I can find. In many cases, erosion may be doing more damage than increased water levels. Ocean temperatures have only risen less than one degree F. Since water is slower to change than air temps, I expect it to go down before long, not up.

And if you’ve been paying attention, geological activity is increasing. If one of the “caldera” super volcanoes like Yellowstone erupts, that will create an ash cloud capable of blocking sunlight for YEARS for at least a large part of the planet...temperatures will plummet, crops will fail, wars will break out, and not one government in the world is even remotely prepared for such an event. Plants cannot grow without sunlight, humans cannot exist without plants.

Think about no flour for a year. Just flour, one grain, wheat. No bread, no pancakes, no biscuits, no waffles, no ice cream cones, no pie crust or cakes, no donuts, no tortillas, no gravy...all require flour.

How about crop failures wipe out corn or rice for a year. How about all of the above, plus oats, barley, olives, grapes, oranges, peaches, apples, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, virtually anything that grows out of the ground. One caldera volcano in conjunction with already decreasing temperatures spells major disaster.

Crop failures will already happen if we do not get ready to move crops south of where they are grown now. Once we get a few more years into the current solar minimum, you’ll be able to grow wheat in Texas and maybe Mexico...currently impossible. Same for potatoes and corn. If we do not move crops at least 200 miles south of where they currently grow, or at least plan for it, we’re in huge trouble.

I’m listening to Bernie right now blithering about $15 an hour...how stupid are these people? They just ignore what happened in Seattle? But we won’t have to worry about it. You can’t make $15 an hour if you can’t grow the crops required to live. You’ll be too worried about protecting your self and your property from your neighbors who will at that time kill for a bowl of soup.

And Bernie won’t even see it coming...
