I will go to a football stadium to catch say Guns n Roses or The Who or Yankee Stadium for Big Four. In part that's because the venues where those shows are held are designed to handle that kind of volume and demands. I am equally not afraid of a local bar or 200-300 capacity venue showcasing new bands...many will suck, but you get a good one frequently enough to warrant leaving home and creature comforts.

I also like a live show, the excitement of which is rarely captured in a video or live stream - as Pete Townshend said "We all go to rock concerts to lose ourselves, to discover real abandonment. Once we lose ourselves we ironically find our REAL selves."
