There was some queer aspect but only with his bf manager who was just so handsome...the guy in tbe Bodyguard series. He is not gay. Must be hard to fake those kisses. The music was awesome I was dancing in my seat.
Also I liked that Elton is now 28 years sober. If he had not totally reigned it in when he did, I think he would have died young.
“He is not gay. Must be hard to fake those kisses. “
Sorry, he became a card carrying homo the minute he passionately kissed a guy. The presence of a camera doesn’t change that. Same for those Broke Back Mountain guys.
They are now homo, and that’s just how it is.
You think Jimmy Stewart, John Wayne, or Clint Eastwood would have kissed another man on film? The answer is no. And it’s because they weren’t homos. If they answer is yes, you are one.
So I did see the movie. It was...ok.
Not nearly as good as Bohemian Rhapsody, and historically and chronologically inaccurate though I overlooked that.
Maybe I read too much into it, but my take from BH was that here is a Shakesperian tragedy complete with flawed character (Mercury). And in the end the character dies as a result of his flaw (the tragedy). EJ is also a flawed character, but he never really redeems himself. You can say he overcomes some addictions, but certainly not all of them, and goes on to promote the gay lifestyle with his adopted kids (future Chastity Bono’s likely).
I also saw “Yesterday”. Now that is a great summer movie if you like comedy, good wholesome characters, and great Beatles music.
