I'm not sure about the current generation of Japanese, but the postwar experience gave at least the boomer generation (and their parents) a very healthy distrust of big government. So much money was withdrawn when the government discussed assigning social security number equivalents to each citizen that they almost immediately backed off. This was back in the 1980s.
Getting tracked by corporations, OTOH, is something they have a LOT more tolerance for . . .
the company will never share a users Line Score with third parties without the users permission...
