Check it out. Minneapolis has erected a 35 foot tall O made of glass and iron.
It was considered by many to be a symbol of the Obama Presidency.
Last night, Patriots took control...

Confusing because new thread also has same date but here it is:
I love it! Certainly a symbol. Sitting out in the middle of a barren field like a post turtle. Ha! We need to make all the "O's" into Q.
FReeQs, FReepers, and FRens,
I’ve got my flag out today, do you?
Pardon this short slide. In a bit, we’ll head out to my mom’s place for our traditional 4th of July cookout. This is a long tradition.
You see, I’m a second-generation American on both sides, maternal and paternal. All of my grandparents immigrated to this country leaving the Old World behind. They found a better life by working their butts off, learned English along the way, and generally enjoyed the American Dream.
I joined the Army two months after I turned 17, about as fast as I could. I served over 20 years, two tours in Iraq, one in Afghanistan, and honorably retired. I gave as much back as I could.
My Grandpa’s birthday was on July 4th. Growing up, we always had a massive party and picnic. All the cousins, the aunts, the uncles, friends, everyone. Grandpa always got sparklers in his birthday cake. You just had to scrape off the ashes and the cake was fine.
Watermelon, playing in the woods, fireworks, games, a little shooting. Even long-range lawn darts (shhhh). Just enjoying the bounty of liberty and security.
Grandpa is long gone, as are many others. But every year on the fourth, we get as much family together as possible and head to mom’s to honor her daddy and this country. So that’s what I’m doing today.
So much pride in my country, my family, and all the Patriots.
My flag is out. Is yours?
#Festival
My flag is currently hanging on a giant iron O.

oh COME ON!!!
The ONE time I post blind and behind...
Festival!?!
No one told me.
[picks up keyboard and trundles to new thread]
I salute you, Patriot! o7
