Coyotes are pests that should be shot.
They should be removed.
I once had a hunting lease on 4800 acres of corn near the Red River in NE Texas. There were a lot of coyotes around and I asked the owner of the land if they bothered him. He told me that they like the coyotes because they chased the pigs out of the fields so I guess for some places they are beneficial.
Coyotes are dangerous pests.

My own rule on them is that if they’re just passing through our property I leave them alone. But if they stop and stare at the house, the critters, or my kids then sitting still becomes their very last mistake.
