Whoever, knowing that an offense against the United States has been committed, receives, relieves, comforts or assists the offender in order to hinder or prevent his apprehension, trial or punishment, is an accessory after the fact.
8 U.S. Code 1324. Bringing in and harboring certain aliens
A. Any Person:
(iii) knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States
in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or
attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation
She HAS TO be arrested and we should DEMAND IT otherwise we are no longer a nation of laws and ANYTHING goes. I’m sick of this BS!

Where as I agree that it should be a crime, it is not the way she is doing it. She didn’t say she would attempt to stop the arrests, she said she just wouldn’t help. And unfortunately there is no law which says the state has to assist or be involved with the detection and apprehension. So as long as they do not attempt to harbor, hide, or shield, and just stay non-committal, they are within the law.
