The bad news - you only get one shot at a slow dance. The good news - it'll be reeeeeally long.

Oddly, I expected the dress to be silver, not lilac. Although, I suppose duct tape comes in all colors.

Thats was what I was thinking too.
I used to watch a comedy called "The Red Green Show". That guy solved every problem with duct tape.

Yes it does come in all colors.
Because Duct tape isn’t just for ducts.

Just the dress? Does the underwear have to be made from duct tape too?

Looks like a dodge to me. These gals are stockpiling duct tape and have found an excuse that won't get them on a Homeland Security watch list as potential extremists.
They probably use straw buyers to hoard their tinfoil purchases as well.

Because Duct tape isnt just for ducts. Oddly enough, regular duct tape should not be used on ducts!

But it should be used on ducks.
So where is the duck in a prom dress?

I think duct/duck tape had its origins during WWII, sealing ammo boxes.
It was based on an existing adhesive tape, adding the waterproof coating.

I’m glad she didn’t decide to apply her creative talents to meat, like whatshername at some MTV(?) awards show.

I was expecting to see some real silliness here, then the photo you posted didn’t look like duct tape at all. So I bing’d “duct tape prom” and it’s amazing what these kids have done! Very cool.
