THANKS Ellendra. Yes it is oriental lilies that I am going to be looking for. 3 would do it and I have 2 big clumps of daylilies to give away. I like to always have something blooming in the flower garden and lilies come right after the irises are done. It’s not a very big flower garden and the daylilies take up a LOT of space for the bloom factor.

I’ll put a PS on my last post. I found an article describing the difference between Asiatic and Oriental and I was wrong, I have the Asiatic doing well. So I’ll be shopping for that. And I found a home for my 2 daylily clumps. Thanks for mentioning Asiatic!

The gardener’s an instant gourmet with this amazing butter in your fridge.
Stir into hot mashed potatoes, melt over steamed broccoli, grilled asparagus, green beans.
Or spread on warm cocktail buns filled with sliced beef tenderloin.

Béarnaise Butter / Fridges airtight 5 days.

METHOD Cook/reduce 5 min to one tbl 1/3 cup dry white wine, tbl white wine vinegar,
2 minced shallots (1/4 cup). Offheat cool 10 min. Add 3/4 c butter, tbl chp fresh tarragon, tea lemon zest, 1/8 tea pepper.

Tomato Salad

PREP Combine 1/3 c crumbled feta, 2 tb capers, 1/3 c minced sweet onion, drizzle/toss w/ dressing; s/p to taste.
Drizzle/toss julienne Bibb lettuce w/ bit dressing; s/p to taste.

DRESSING Puree 2 tsp minced shallots, tsp capers, 1/4 c lime juice.
Add 1/2 c ol/oil, 3/4 tsp Dijon; blend well. Stir in tb honey.

PLATE layer tomato wedges; dressed lettuce mounded in center, top w/ feta, chp pistachios. Drizzle w/ dressing.
