The West Hollywood City Council has unanimously voted to have Donald Trump's star removed from the Hollywood Walk of Fame after multiple instances of vandalism, and Star Wars alum Mark Hamill has pitched the perfect person to replace him: film icon Carrie Fisher, who passed away in 2016.
In a tweet responding to The Hill's story, Hamill suggested the late actress take Trump's spot in the popular tourist attraction using #AStarforCarrie, which has since gone viral. "Good riddance! (and I know just who should replace him....)" he wrote.
Hamill shared a special relationship with Fisher, who played his long-lost twin sister Leia in George Lucas' Star Wars trilogy. Both reprised their roles for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the first film in J.J. Abrams' new trilogy, but their characters didn't reunite on-screen until its follow-up film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which saw Hamill's Luke Skywalker die and become one with the Force. Fisher will appear posthumously in the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker via unused footage left over from The Force Awakens.

You do realize the people PAY for their own stars right?
This isn’t like the sham that is the academy awards, where its some group voting for it... you literally PAY them and they put your star there.
She was not attended by medical personnel. Any death within 24 hours of admission to a hospital is still a coroners case as well. Any death after that requires the coroners release prior to moving the body. That said the coroner can release the body without an autopsy on any attended or unattended death if they do not suspect fowl play and they often do take the wishes of the family into consideration.

The city council voted to remove the President’s star? Hadn’t heard that. I guess the terrorist, Nazi snowflakes win another one. It sounds like it’s time for normal people to start taking sledgehammers to the stars of people THEY don’t like on the walk.

I would never see the president’s or Fisher’s “Walk of Fame” stars, since I wouldn’t set foot in that irredeemable state for my own grandmother’s funeral.

Are you aware that she lived for three days in the ICU?
Her death certificate says “cardiac arrest” and lists three of her known risk factors - drug use, arterial disease, and sleep apnea.
As far as I know, no autopsy was performed.
Medically, there are three “ultimate” causes of death - you stop breathing, brain death, or your heart stops beating.
