At the start of the Women's World Cup, Team USA's third matchagainst Swedenwas marked as a key game in the group stage of the tournament.
While the U.S. entered the tournament as the reigning champions and the most-successful nation in Women's World Cup history, the pain of an early exit in the 2016 Olympics still lingered in the air. Back in Rio, it was Sweden that ended the USWNT's fight for the gold, keeping the U.S. off the podium for the first time in history.
Both Sweden and the U.S. enter the final match of the group stage with six points, after they each defeated Thailand and Chile. While both teams have already secured spots in the knockout round, in order for the U.S. to top the group it needs a win over Sweden on Thursday.

Full-time Germany 3-0 Nigeria
Congratulations Germany!
Late Australia goal 1-1!
Matilda red card. Justified.
Here we go penalty shoot-out.
This is why they changed the rule.
Otherwise it would be easy for a goalie to get two yellows and taken out while a replacement goalie could not come in.
Goalie still must remain on the line but they won’t get a yellow card anymore for failing to do so.
IMO USA will face Spain, France, England, Germany.
Horrible miss by Australia striker.
Aussie blocked.
Norway got their four in while Australia missed two, it’s over.
Congratulations Norway.
Was a great game.
This is whats funny about the retards who troll a WC thread with soccer being boring. You could easily see both teams giving it their all.
Let#s call them cluetards.
