At the start of the Women's World Cup, Team USA's third matchagainst Swedenwas marked as a key game in the group stage of the tournament.
While the U.S. entered the tournament as the reigning champions and the most-successful nation in Women's World Cup history, the pain of an early exit in the 2016 Olympics still lingered in the air. Both Sweden and the U.S. enter the final match of the group stage with six points, after they each defeated Thailand and Chile. While both teams have already secured spots in the knockout round, in order for the U.S. to top the group it needs a win over Sweden on Thursday.

Halftime Sweden 0-1 USA

Release The Lloyd!
