15 years ago we were very dependent on oil exports from the Middle East. Thus our decisions on war were influenced by such. Today we export oil. The nations that are now dependent on this oil need to step and and defend their needs or just write us the check to take care of it. We have pilots and aircrews that salvilate at the joy of turning Kharg Isle into a blazing inferno and thus the Iranian economy totally collapses. Oil burns hot. Kharg Isle and a couple of other terminals of oil export represent the entire Iranian economy. They could be taken out in a day. It would be a hell of a fire.
In reality I would recommend taking out the pumping stations from the oil fields. If the pumping stations are gone there is no oil export and thus Iran collapses economically. Those can be repaired easily for the new regime after Iran collapses. If you take out Karg Island and the other export facilities it would impose undue hardship on the new regime.
Bush Junior was a noble and moral man. Unfortunately he was an idiot but his idiocy as compared to Obama makes him an Einstein. However, Obama’s errors of judgement were not errors. They were actions that hurt our great nation by malice and forethought.
Relative to calling Bush Junior an idiot I am not speaking to his intelligence. He is a smart man but not a brilliant man. His idiocy was his inability to understand the neferacious nature of politics and congress.
You really think W wasn’t aware of and actually working against the exposure of his father’s long list of crimes? And the crimes of his own administration?
Indeed, while our decision for war was influenced by our dependency on oil, I would go a step further and argue the decision was not limited to just U.S. dependency but also on the prospective damage to the entire globe if the middle east collapsed.
Finally, I will say your use of "neferacious" in this forum was flagitious.
