Propellers are limited to around 480 MPH.
Propellers are only suitable for use at subsonic airspeeds mostly below about 480 mph (770 km/h; 420 kn), as above this speed the blade tip speed approaches the speed of sound and local supersonic flow causes high drag, noise and propeller structural problems.

Let me guess: It has a diesel generator on board to run the electrics, similar to electric locomotives?
To: sparklite2
What makes it so expensive to operate is mid-air recharging. Nah, its the retractable extension cord. . .

“Ladies and gentlemen. Because of our recent fleet updates, you will no longer be able to carry luggage on our flights. The rechargeable batteries needed to power the flight add too much weight to the plane to allow luggage. All bags will be delivered to your destination by our sister company E-Train. Please allow 5-7 business days for your luggage to arrive at your destination. Thank you. We will now begin boarding...”

Was thinking that given the area of Israel, this might be a decent solution for domestic short hauls...All flights within Israel would be short hauls...Interested to see if it works out...

I wonder what happens if it runs into an unusually strong headwind for much of the flight?

Yep, I agree. And make those motors pivot for VTOL. I looked for a turbine generator exhaust, as an explanation for the long range, but didn’t see one.

Nine seats. Assume its full, and at least one pilot, and given
the average American man's weight of 191 pounds...
Then when there is a male pilot and 8 male passengers, the payload weight is 1719 pounds; 281 pounds short of a ton.
So no fatties or big and tall guys, and no more than 25 pounds total luggage/carry-ons per person.
