My guess is Dominican Republic has a large criminal gang, probably working with hotel insiders, to sell, steal and/or replace real liquor with fake booze / methanol That's been my guess for awhile.

What were they eating spoiled oysters, and listening to god awful beach bubblegum music (with xylophones, and conga drums), idiotic lyrics?
You know— nibbling on sponge cake watching the sun bake
all of those tourists covered in oil.....
Cause it’s just too hard to hang onto 30 million dollar sailboats and triple laundered cocaine money real estate-— not without kilos of self use, and “booze in the blender” that will render... the concoction to help. Beach bubble gum. Guess it beats The Archies. Who wouldn’t get sick? But that’s just an opinion, and like crucial body parts some people are one.
